Saddle-worn and weary we arrived in VA early Saturday am (1:14 to be exact) Steve wanted to make it in on Friday, but that just wasn't meant to be :) 905 miles doesn't fly by quickly. We got to my brother's house and Koa was thrilled to see us. We got some rest and then Sela and Dominic came to play. We headed off to check out the new place and it seems to be pretty nice, though it needs a good cleaning. We tried to buy some essentials (mattresses) to no avail and the kids were at the end of their rope...which you know where that left us. We headed back to David's house so we could celebrate Corinne's birthday tomorrow and then head to our place.
All in all I have to say that I recommend a cross country trip for anyone. There were so many places that we passed that we would have loved to linger at, if there wasn't the pressing need to move on. The kids were at a great age to enjoy all the fabulous new sights and to be curious about it all. When we do it again...well, that's a whole other post on lessons learned.
