Today the girls had time trials for their swim team. Alaina had quite a bit of drama about swimming backstroke and then annihilated all but one of the other girls. I think she was just very nervous because she didn't know what to expect. Isabella's heats were difficult since she was swimming with veteran swimmers who have been in the league for at least two (or more) seasons. She competed in each of the 4 strokes, though she did disqualify for form in 2. I guess it isn't uncommon at this age- and after looking at the wall of PRs only one girl had a time in both. Isabella told me she loves it as much as lacrosse-and that is high praise for swimming coming from her!
