Shark's Cove (Pupukea Park) & Laniakea Turtles

Today we had a very nice afternoon at Shark's Cove (curiously devoid of sharks, thankfully).  The kids enjoyed wandering the shallow cove and looking for marine life and shells.  After a couple hours of sun and reef wrecked feet we headed over to Steve's favorite North Shore eatery, Ted's Bakery.  He LOVES their garlic shrimp and haupia pie.  On the way home, we checked to see if the Laniakea turtles were out basking in the sun.  We got lucky and saw three of them.  We all got our picture taken with Wooley Bully, though the sun was low on the horizon and making the pictures hard to take.  There are 24 turtles that are known to "bask" on Laniakea Beach and there are volunteers that ensure visitors don't get overzealous.  All in all, it was a relaxing day.
