Why I love Hawaii...

Today after dropping off the girls at their spring break camp (more on that tomorrow) I headed over to Hawaii Kai to run some errands.  After shopping and Costco, I decided that it would be silly to drive all the way home to come back and pick up the girls.  So, Jake and I stopped at the beach to watch the surfers & boogie boarders, whales breaching and just play in the sand.  After a little bit, we decided to move on.  But still too early to pick up the girls.  So, we wander over to Makapu'u Lighthouse and we hiked up.  (Jake walked all the way up...I was so proud of him)  At the top, we stopped to watch the whales frolic just offshore.  It was such a glorious day, sunny but breezy, and the perfect day to stop and smell the roses (or in our case hang at the beach and watch whales).  It was a good reminder to live each day...even if your frozen foods melt.

Sigh....sounds wonderful....and not something you'll be able to do a year from now. So glad you enjoyed the day!
