Cover Girl?

Back in August, Lisa told me about a cover kid contest for the local magazine and urged me to enter Jake. Well, there were plenty of age groups so I entered all the kids. As I watched the entries grow, I figured it was all a long shot. I mean, really, my kids don't look "island." And, I think all my kids are adorable, but what mother doesn't? So, imagine my surprise when I get a call yesterday asking me to bring Alaina down for some head shots. So, we show up today and of course Alaina is very nervous about a photographer taking pictures of her. Even if she doesn't make it to the final round, she was one of 60 kids out of over 2300 called for the semi-final! When the woman in charge saw Jake she said that he was one of the last cuts from his age group, poor Jake...he took it in stride though :) Whatever happens Bella, Jake and Alaina are all cover kids in my eyes- and isn't that all that matters?
