End of Summer :(

This weekend we celebrated the end of the girls summer with a bang. Saturday we went to the Polynesian Cultural Center. Finally, we were able to visit all the different villages. We all loved the Tongan village- especially the drums. Steve is always fascinated by the Tahitian dancing (gee, I wonder why?) and Jake took it all in. The girls got to throw a spear, weave a fish, and get many temporary tattoos. Alaina enjoyed the canoe ride and looking for fish.
Sunday we went to the water park. The kids enjoyed themselves, but Bella was disappointed in the rides. She was told at the bottom of the ride that she met the height requirement, but after she stood in line the attendant at top said she could not ride. That happened on 3 separate rides and she was very upset. Still, we had a good time.
Monday we headed up to Turtle Bay Resort so the girls could go horseback riding. They enjoyed themselves and were grinning non-stop. The horse path was right along the beach and we got to see a turtle up on shore as well as 4 sting rays out in the water. It was a beautiful day and I wish we could have stayed longer.
Today we get to meet the girls teachers and they start school tomorrow. I can't believe my baby girl is already heading off to school!!
