Jake has started Infant Swim Rescue (ISR) classes. They are pretty time intensive, but already I am convinced that they are worth it. His class is 10 mins long 5 days a week for 6 weeks. I have some video from his class today...he was tired and didn't do as well as yesterday, but I am still proud of him. In three classes he has learned to hold his breath when he is underwater and to grab onto the wall (safety) with both hands. He can hang on to the wall all by himself too. He has even done a little bit of swimming underwater. The instructor has said that already if he were to fall in the water at the wall he should be able to grab on to the wall, instead of sink to the bottom.
