This weekend was perfect beach weather and we took full advantage!! We checked out a new beach right around the corner and fell in love. The beach is nice and wide and the water is perfect for the kids. When we went on Saturday there were some nice waves that Bella learned to bodyboard on. On her first trip in she screamed the whole way. It kind of reminded me of going down the first hill of a roller coaster. Anyway, she was hooked! Steve spent most of the day in the water with her, helping her catch the waves. What made it even more fun for her was that the ride lasted 30+ yards. Alaina and I tried to go out but she was more content to sit on the beach and make sand castles...and to throw her bodyboard in the water and watch it wash up on shore. On Sunday the waves were a little more tame, but Bella learned how to paddle back out through the surf and to ALWAYS keep an eye on the waves. Today we hung out with one of Bella's school friends at the local beach. All in all it was a relaxing weekend. Hope yours was the same!
